Comedian Ogie Diaz calls on people not to call voters “bobo”

The May 2019 elections is rocking the whole Philippines and for different reasons. Some people are happy that their bets won, other are not happy and have started bashing people who voted for those who are currently in the top 12 of the senatorial race.

In a Facebook post, comedian Ogie Diaz decided to address the Filipino people who share the same frustrations as he does but chose to attack other fellow Filipinos.

We all had a chance to vote

In his post, Diaz talks about how just because they voted for candidates different from you, does not mean that they are dumb and stupid. In the first place, no one was stripped of their right to cast their vote anyway.

Moreover, Diaz says that no matter how many times they name call the people who voted for actors, thieves and plunderers, the fact remains the same that these people had already won. More that that there is nothing that they can further do anymore in regards to the result.

At least your conscience is clean

He then goes on to say that despite these results, the people should feel comfort in the fact that their conscience is clean and that they had voted for the rightful people.

What people now should do is to hold those who won accountable. He said that people should watch their journey as senators and call them out if must.

Di pa naman tapos”, he says.

Diaz says that as ordinary citizens we still have our voice and that we still have power in us.

He also is not against people who wish to migrate to other countries, as that is also a valid option. However, for him, he will stay in the Philippines to take care of his family, and sarcastically adds that he will pay his taxes for the pork barrel of those who won.

Let’s all wish them to be the best, the brightest and the most honest senators.

Kung good luck sa pagiging honest, good luck talaga! But at the end of the day, kunsensiya naman nila ang kalaban nila, eh.

Sina Sen. Bong Go at Sen.

Let’s all move on.
