The netizen who called him out in social media through Facebook was Maia Villapañe. Through the Facebook post, she let her thoughts be felt about the actor-director.

Harassment in an old TV show

Villapañe seems to remember that Paredes used to host a noontime variety show called “Sanglinggo nAPO Sila”. She says that he had it with other APO members.

One of your segments was a beauty pageant and you would have a different set of three contestants every day showcase their talents while parading around in bikinis,” said Villapañe.

According to her, there was a moment in the segment she remembers where a contestant was interviewed by Paredes and Buboy.

During the interview, Villapañe said that the contestant was asked if she had any talents. When she responded that she did, she was then asked to perform a song.

The song that she chose, Villapañe said, was “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer.

Forced in an awkward situation

Villapañe remembers that during the singing of the contestant, she was singing beautifully, and in the portion where she sang the lyrics “kiss me”, Paredes and Buboy both kissed her on the cheeks.

She then continues on to say that she feels like that contestant was forced into an awkward situation.

Villapañe then said that it was bad that sexually harassment is normalized in society and the audience laughed when it happened. But then she knew that the contestant was clearly uncomfortable and did not want to be there.

Being a hypocrite

Because of this specific incident, Villapañe called Paredes a hypocrite and that he should not be out there judging others.

Paredes allegedly judged the President for kissing an OFW in front of other people.

Villapañe then said that it is hypocritical for Paredes to judged the President for doing that when he himself has been doing it.

Ending her post, Villapañe says, “You are not an ally and never have been.”

"Jim Paredes, do you remember your noontime variety show "Sanglinggo nAPO Sila" with the APO members? One of your segments was a beauty pageant and you would have a different set of three contestants every day showcase their talents while parading around in bikinis.

I remember one particular contestant vividly, not because of her beauty, but because of what you and Buboy did to her. You asked her if she had any talents. She said she could play guitar. The song she chose was Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me". She proceeded to sing, her voice shaking from nerves. And she had a good voice, I remember. I'm sure you don't remember that girl because why would you? Hundreds of them would audition for a chance to appear on TV and get a cash prize to support their families or get them through college. So to you, she probably wasn't even a blip on your radar. But I have a pretty good memory and every now and then, I'll remember bits of my childhood. I don't know why that moment was burned into my memory and for years I wondered why, but now I realize it's to remind people of your hypocrisy.

I can only imagine what that girl thought as you and Buboy teased her. What you did on national TV was a classic example of how you come from a generation of men that normalized sexual harassment. As she sang, you leered at her, and when she got to the verse "so kiss me..." you and Buboy flanked her and kissed her cheeks while the audience laughed. You didn't even do it once, you REPEATED IT. Maybe that girl felt she had to tough it out for the money and therefore it was okay and she would put up with what you did, but you should have known better that it WAS NOT OKAY to trap her in that awkward situation.

I cannot believe the gall you have to pontificate about decency and morals and condemn the President for kissing that OFW while you did something even worse to a college girl years ago on your noontime show. And while the President pushed for gender equality and empowerment of women in his city, you continued to make money out of humiliating women on your noontime show. For you to talk decency and gloss over the many things you did before should be a reminder to all women that YOU ARE NOT AN ALLY AND NEVER HAVE BEEN.

Now with your disgusting video leaked, I hope that girl feels vindicated. I'm not even sorry to say I'm glorying in this fall of yours."
